Why is Water Never Considered to be a Nutrient?

After all, we as human beings cannot live without it. That’s a fact of life!

Most people either do not know, or simply ignore the fact that we need water to survive. Many replace it with coffee and tea, well that’s partially ok, but will still leave us de-hydrated.

Other folk substitute water with fizzy drinks, such as cola, orangeade or lemonade. But what they don’t realize, is that all that those drinks are actually detrimental to their health.

Ok yes, they partially do the job of water in that they transport the bodies necessary nutrients around the body, but the aspartame contained in those fizzy drinks could actually be causing there organs severe damage in the long run.

We also need water to digest our food properly. I have written several article on this website which contain sections about the importance of water to our digestive system, and why it is so important.

You see, water is needed to help push food through our digestive tracts and without it, or the lack there of – causes many ‘uncomfortable’ digestive problems, such as abdominal bloating, flatulence and constipation.

We lose water naturally, just by being alive and moving around. So it must be replaced periodically throughout the day to keep our ‘system’ functioning normally.

You can read more about the importance of water to our lives in an article which I read yesterday, and I really recommend you do actually read it in full.
