Green tea is known for having certain health benefits, but it has been discovered that green tea extracts could help the glycemic control in diabetic patients.

This research has also been done with grape seed extracts, and a similar conclusion has been made. This is wonderful result because both of food derivatives are plentiful and have a low cost production value.

Further research and studies are required, but both of these food products could be effective therapy for type 2 diabetes patients, reducing fundamental health complications.

Both of these extracts work by shutting down the behavior of alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, which are both digestive enzymes reputed to greatly affect blood sugar levels.
